Camp Sababa has been running for 14 years, providing a 3 night/4 day getaway for children and young people with special needs.
Sony Childrens Camp Sababa Junior is for children aged 6-15, and Sababa Senior is for young adults aged 16-24. Both Camps are staffed by volunteers: the Junior Camp with recent Year 12 graduates from Jewish and other high schools, and the Senior Camp by either ex-junior camp volunteers or other interested young people. The camp offers a range of fun activities such as swimming, obstacle courses, drumming, arts and crafts, sailing, skating, etc. The camp is funded by JCA, The Sony Foundation, The Wolper Health Foundation and general donations. Funded by JCA The Choice Foundation, SIBS provides a range of fun activities for the siblings of children with special needs. These range from outings to places such as Raging Waters and High Ropes courses, to fun days out on the harbour, pizza making and laser tag. Sababa SIBS allows the siblings to develop a network of friends who have similar family experiences.
