JewishCare’s disability support team supports and empowers our clients, offering a wide range of services. As a registered NDIS provider we help our clients to access the NDIS and receive funding that changes their lives and those that care for them.
Through our programs we help people to achieve their goals, optimise funding opportunities and reduce stigma.
NDIS Support
For those eligible, the NDIS means gaining greater choice and control over the support services received.
Our team has assisted hundreds people access the NDIS and receive funding, helping people understand how the NDIS works, assessing eligibility and guiding through the application process. On approval JewishCare is able to also provide a range of disability services under the scheme.
Living Independently
JewishCare provides flexible, drop in support for people with disabilities who require assistance to live independently in the community. Using NDIS funds, the team assist with:
developing living skills leading to a greater degree of independence
enabling access and utilising a full range of community resources and facilities
This includes building on ability to manage daily living skills such as budgeting, banking, attending medical appointments, shopping, cooking as well as focussing on building social skills and social inclusion.
Supported Accommodation
JewishCare manages four houses where 24 hour support is provided to people in a group living situation. Supported living creates opportunities for people with disability to live their life in a way that is similar to other shared accommodation in the community.
JewishCare is registered with NDIS to provide the following:

Supported Employment
Print35 Design Studio is a person-centred social enterprise and has been providing employment and training for people with a disability since 1995. Working for Print 35 provides the opportunity to build important skills and feelings of self-worth with ongoing training to all staff providing including computer training in the recently upgraded computer hub.
Exciting day program for attendees to create, learn, explore, move and discover new adventures. Participants can choose to join us for their favourite daily activities or enjoy the weekly programs.
Providing an innovative approach to training, skill building, personal development and community participation for people with a disability, including those with a psychosocial (mental health) disability and for those with a love of food. Activities take place in a purpose-built kitchen and people develop an array of skills associated with food preparation from garden to table.
We support disability programs and projects through JCA Member (Jewish Communal Appeal) organisations. We are looking to create innovative new education, vocation, housing, respite and social services that enable everyone to better contribute to and benefit from the community we all share.
